We love Summer Fish and Rice and invited two couples we are friends with, who have never eaten there. They also loved it. We had 5 ceviche (this was our first time trying it) and it was amazing. We had a lot of their platters of different sliced fish in various sauces / seasonings, highlighting the particular fish and it's taste and it was great. We loved it all. It's a great spot for fresh, tasty sushi and sashimi you will thank me later for telling you about. Enjoy

I've been frequenting this spot for years. Food is absolutely delicious. Fish is always fresh & the prices are reasonable. The staff & sushi chefs are amazing . I can't say enough good things about this place.

Price is great! Ambiance and service were solid as well. The sushi conceptualization and freshness were above average but not at a 5 star level for me. Salad was a scooch overdress and miso soup was average. Menu was above average. I would totally come here for lunch again, but I could find a similar level of sushi in most la neighborhoods

This is a nice, low key, relaxed Japanese restaurant and prices are reasonable in Beverly Hills. My Japanese Saba(mackerel)was delicious mixed with rice as was the bluefin crab handroll. It's also nice the entree came with a cute plate of edamame, salad and miso soup. Service was a little strange but nothing terrible hence the drop to 4 stars. I sat outside and requested the heat lamp be turned on but the server claimed it didn't work. Not a biggie for me but the service issues cost it a star. Recommended.

Love coming to Summer Fish & Rice! Just like the last time I was here it was for DineLA because they offer such fabulous options. This time around I got the albacore cappachio, blue crab handroll, and the Ebisu roll. Also we couldn't resist ordering the crispy rice which wasn't part of the DineLA but so worth ordering. They start your meal off with miso soup that was excellent. Also part of the DineLA was a limited drink option so I got Asahi beer. Service was great and quick. Parking is super easy. Looking forward to my next visit!

Wow! Summer Fish & Rice is so popular for lunchtime. Lots of customers were meeting people for business lunches over sushi and enjoying the natural sunlight that radiates from the floor to ceiling windows. Sushi bar and smiling chefs in the corner of the restaurant are also part of the fun. Now that's what I call mixing business with pleasure! We ordered from the lunch special menu (available Monday thru Friday from 11:30am to 2:30pm). I got the grilled salmon teriyaki. It came with a 4 pieces of vegetable tempura, white rice, a house salad, and edamame. I can't eat edamame so I got an extra house salad instead. Love the ginger dressing on the salad. It was a very healthy and satisfying meal. I enjoyed everything. My dining companion ordered the miso cod and chose the black rice to accompany it. It was melt in your mouth delicious. The black rice was so special and pretty because it turns purple when you cook it. This lunch special was served with a cucumber salad and miso soup with mushrooms. Delish and also good for you! For dessert we went for the Nutella cheesecake. It came with whipped cream. Also delightful. Rich enough that it was easy to split but lite enough that it complemented the meal very well. Prior to this visit, I had only been to this restaurant for dinner which was also nice but it was definitely a solid choice for lunch so I'm glad I gave it a try in the daytime. Metered parking can be found on the street.

First time trying this place out with a couple of friends. The restaurant was clean and the workers were well dressed and kind. We ordered the following: 1.) Mrs. Robertson Roll 2.) Killer Roll 3.) Garlic edamame 4.) Miso soup 5.) Crispy Rice (4 pieces). The fish tasted fresh and melted in your mouth. Crispy rice came in hot. All dishes were flavorful and pleasant. Service was awesome, our waitress listened to our orders and everything came in as expected. Our waters were refilled as needed without asking. MY ONLY COMPLAINT- I wish they paid more attention to the flavor of their spicy mayo. It tasted more like mayonnaise by itself rather than spicy Mayo (pinkish color) as expected to be mixed with sriracha! However, I will be back!

Came back since we were craving sushi. Everything was fresh and tasty, as expected. But they really need to work on their service. It's friendly but extremely slow. Empty tables around us took forever to be cleaned up and our food took long. Not sure why this place always seems to have slow service.

Came here during lunch as it just opened and I was pretty satisfied. Overall I thought the food was pretty good, although I have some comments on them. I ordered lunch combo set where I got Miso Soup, Mrs Robertson Sushi Roll, and Blue Crab Hand Roll. Miso Soup is pretty standard, but it tasted so good. The blue crab hand roll was pretty small, but I thought this tasted the best out of everything. I didn't know what to expect from Mrs Robertson Roll, but I felt that it lacked flavor that a lot of people from Yelp reviews were mentioning. I also thought the rolls itself were smaller than how it looked in the pictures. Still, it was decent enough that I enjoyed my main course. Other things to note: The service was alright, parking was not that hard to find, but it it street parking, and it did get busy pretty quickly. Overall I would give it an 8/10 (4 out of 5 stars) Food: 8/10 Price: 2/5 (Pricy) Service: 3/5 (Got busy pretty quick though) Ambiance: N/A (It was raining at the time so I didn't go in normal conditions)
